Here is Soke's information from World Vision:

Soke (born April 24,1999) lives with her parents and 5 sisters. Her parents struggle to provide for the family. Her parents are subsistence farmers. Despite their efforts, it is difficult to meet the family's needs.

Soke is growing up in a rural farming community in the beautiful country of Cambodia. Family homes are constructed of wood and palm tree leaves, and sit on stilts to keep flood waters out during the rainy season. Rice, fish and homegrown vegatables are staples of the local diet. It is hot and dry in this climate, with temperatures between 77 and 100 degrees. The local terrain is dry and rocky.

Soke is in primary school and she enjoys studying the national language. She helps at home by caring for the animals. She likes to play pretend cooking. She is in good health.

Your sponsorship of commitment will help provide Soke and her community with greater access to clean water, improved health care and hygiene and educational opportunities. In addition, adults will receive agricultural and vocational training that will help them be able to provide better for their children. We are thankful for your commitment and your prayers so these precious children and their families are able to experience the love of God and life in all its fulless.
